ThE TeRrOrIsT iS oFfErEd ThE JoB oF a LiFeTiMe.....

Hey Friends!!!

So, I know I start every blog this way because I'm TERRIBLE at making sure I write about the big, beautiful monster....but, we've been SUPER busy and time has, yet again, gotten away from me! Well, the terrorist is doing very well and has some VERY exciting news.....

On July 24, 2013, I went on a first date with a guy that I knew very little about other than he had a dog named Lana who he was considering getting a friend for and was in the Air Force. After another date and a few weeks later, Tiers got to meet this mystery guy and his little beige dog, Lana. Tier, of course, was pumped to meet the little beige dog and the strapping young dirty blonde haired guy with beautiful blue eyes....Lana, not so much! We walked for about 6 miles while Tier attempted to win over Lana and I chatted up the guy. After the long walk Tier and I went to dinner over at Lana and the guys house and, as they say......the rest was history.....

Fast forward six months later.....Tier and I now live with the "Little Beige One" and the strapping guy, Andrew! Beigy and Tier have become best friends forever, they spend their days romping through the yard, stealing toys from each other and loving each others' company! The two of them love to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house to visit Quinn (Lana's boyfriend) and play together! The two of them are referred to as "The Girls" and are loved deeply by both Andrew and myself! Andrew has become the best thing that has ever entered Tierney's life....he is her "force cuddle" buddy, playmate, favorite person, and love of her life! Andrew frequently carries the terrorist around the house like a baby, throws the ball for her whenever she brings it to him and spends an exorbitant amount of time being dragged down the street by the monster while on our daily runs!

Well, on February 6th, 2014, I was asked by Andrew to spend the rest of my life with him.....of course I said, "YES!!!!!!!" And, Tierney was offered the job of a lifetime.....carrying Andrew's wedding ring down the aisle next to her very best friend Lana who will be carrying my wedding ring! Yep, you read that correctly, Tierney will be a ring bearer in our wedding on August 29th, 2014!!! Additionally, she will be walked down the aisle by a very dear boy named Logan Lopez who is an avid runner, amazing athlete and adorable young boy! Very exciting news!!!

As I write this blog, I have been reflecting on the past year and 2 months that I've had my crazy terror! On December 3rd, 2012, I lost my dream dog in a tragic accident and four days later, on December 6th, I received my second dream dog! I truly believe that a dog comes into your life for a reason.....my first dog Magnus came into my life to teach me to live each day to the fullest, how to deal with loss and what the grieving process is all about....he died of T-cell lyphoma at the age of two and a half.  My second dog Bruin came into my life to teach me compassion, trust, and the wonderful feeling of giving back to those who give so much to your life....I gave Bruin to my "second dad" Ben for Christmas of 2009 and I have been thankful for that decision ever since.  My third dog Brear came into my life to teach me unconditional love, passion for running, extreme loyalty and how trust in my best friend....she died in a tragic accident the day before her third birthday.  And, my fourth dog Tierney came into my life to teach me to be strong, to trust in the love of another, to be a part of a family and to always give my best to those I love the most, specifically Andrew and Lana! Our relationship together started out in tragedy with her getting me through some of my darkest days and has come full circle to joy beyond compare! I can't wait for Tier and myself to become a part of the Pipes' family and for all the years and new things to come with our family!!! It's been a crazy journey thus far full ups and downs and as I pledge to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, I will be forever thankful for the dog standing next to me.....for she will have completed the job of a lifetime....carrying the ring that will solidify our family together forever!

Ciao,
